Common Issues & Solutions

Q1. My events are not showing up in the widget. What should I do?

Ans. This usually happens because of query settings or missing event data. First, make sure you’ve actually published events in The Events Calendar, and check that they’re not set as drafts. Next, open the Events Query settings in the widget and verify that you’re not filtering them out by mistake. For example, if you selected “Upcoming Events” but all your events are in the past, nothing will appear.

Q2. The styling looks broken on my theme. How can I fix it?

Ans. Sometimes themes add their own CSS that conflicts with Elementor widgets. A quick way to test this is to switch temporarily to a default theme like Twenty Twenty-Five. If the design looks correct there, the issue is with your theme’s styling.

Q3. Pagination is not working correctly.

Ans. Pagination can break if you’re also using the Event Offset option in your query. This is a known limitation because offsets and pagination don’t work well together. If you need pagination, disable the offset and try again. Also, make sure your site is not being cached aggressively by caching or optimization plugins, as cached pages can sometimes interfere with Elementor’s dynamic widgets.

Q4. My featured events are not showing separately.

Ans. First, make sure you have actually marked the events as Featured in The Events Calendar (you can find this option inside the event editor). Then, go to the widget’s Events Type setting and select “Featured” to display only featured events. If you leave it set to “Any,” your featured events will appear mixed in with all others, not separately highlighted.
