The Events Shortcode plugin allows you to display events anywhere on your WordPress site.You can easily insert a shortcode in the Classic Editor, Block (Gutenberg) Editor, or Elementor Page Builder.
This guide explains how to insert and customize shortcodes in each editor:
Insert Shortcode in Classic Editor
- Open your page/post in Classic Editor.
- Click on the Events Shortcodes button in the toolbar (as shown in the editor screenshot).
- A pop-up panel will appear. Here you can:
- Select your layout (List, Grid, Carousel, etc.)
- Adjust settings like the number of events, order, categories, or whether to hide/show venue details.
- Once you finish, click the Insert Shortcode button. The shortcode will be added directly into the editor.
- Now, you can publish the page and preview it.
Add Shortcode in Block Editor
- Open your page/post in the Gutenberg editor.
- Click on the “+” Add Block button and search for Events Calendar Shortcode.
- Add the shortcode block to your page.
- A settings panel will appear on the right-hand side. Here, you can:
- Choose event display layout (grid, list, slider, etc.).
- Select the number of events.
- Apply filters like categories, venues, or tags.
- Customize labels (Date, Location, Event Name, etc.)
- After being satisfied with the changes, you can publish your page and preview it.
Add Shortcode in Elementor
- Edit your page with Elementor Page Builder.
- From the widgets section, drag the Shortcode widget into your page.
- Shortcode will be added to your page.
- Now, you can customize the appearance of your events using different settings.
- Click Update or Publish to save your changes and preview it.
