The Bar Design settings let you customize the appearance and behavior of your event search and filter bar. You can change the placeholder text, search button style, colors, and sizing to according to your website design.
Follow these steps to customize the search bar:
- From your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Events Addons > Search & Filter Bar.
- Open the Bar Design tab.
- Placeholder Text: Use the Placeholder Text field to change the text displayed inside the empty search field.
- Search Bar Frame: Choose how the search field and search button should appear:
- Separate: Displays the search button separately from the search field.
- Joined: Connects the search button with the search field to create a single search bar.
- Colors: Customize the colors used across the search bar and event results. You can either choose a Theme Preset or set your own colors.
- Search Button Style: Choose how the search button should appear.
- Custom Size and Rounding: Control the size and corner rounding of the search bar.
- Off: Uses the plugin’s built-in sizes and corner styles.
- On: Displays additional controls that let you customize the size and rounding using sliders.
- After customizing the search bar, check the live preview to see how it looks before adding shortcode to your website.
